Ocean View Home
This Ocean View home is the result of all the other homes we have worked on. The experiences, hard work, multiple jobs, stress, lessons, the family, and friends that supported us, all pushed us to step outside our expectations of what we thought was the dream home, in the process, making a new location home, and this dream home a level up from our previous builds. Hours spent dreaming and manifesting this oceanside sanctuary have culminated in not only one of our proudest builds, but invaluable lessons in both life and home development.
I once wrote down this dream, “A home with a view of the water yet, privacy and green space for the dogs,” a written manifestation of the home that we are still amazed has come true. However, this property and home is not the one I thought it would be when I set out to create this dream. After trying to create this in 4 other locations – 2 times offers were not accepted, and 2 times locations bought and built on or renovated then turned out to not be the right locations – this build rearranged my expectations of “home”, teaching patience along the way.
Over the course of 13 months, I found myself in 5 real estate transactions that would lead to the purchase of this property. It also led to my second experience buying property that was in land court and required lengthy and complicated applications through the town Zoning Board and Conservation Commission.
